And so it begins...

I haven't blogged in almost two weeks.  And not for lacking of starting to, but then getting sidetracked.

A lot has happened in this amount of time.  All along, we had been planning our surprise Thanksgiving trip back to Las Vegas to see family and friends.  But then just about three weeks ago, it became more and more apparent that the boys and I would not just be visiting, but also moving back as well.  While the husband would still have to return to the dreaded "D" for some time, we would be able to be back at home and working on helping out around Vegas.

We got in on Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving.  My parents were basically the only ones who knew we were coming, who were in town.  Our first reveal was to our best and most dearest friends.  It was amazing and wonderful and felt great to make them happy like that.  The next day was the "big" surprise for Thanksgiving.  We have close family friends that all get together on Thanksgiing as a big group, so of course this was the perfect time to show up to surprise everyone.  And we did just that.  It made for a wonderful holiday for sure!

Since then its just been getting around town to do things and see people before my husband had to leave.  Its definitely been a busy 10 days.  Due to weather conditions, the husband had to leave earlier than planned.  He got on the road early Saturday afternoon.

Now begins the hard part - - the beginning of the end of our Dallas days, per se?!?  While its amazing to be home, and I am so thankful and glad to have the opportunity to be home, its going to be very rough for our family to be separated again.  And this could be up to six months.  This is now the long haul to getting my whole family home again where we belong.
